Intimate apparel store Aerie will hold a grand opening on August 4 at The Shoppes at EastChase.
Doors open at 10 a.m. with freebies at the nearby EastChase tent, which will be located near Sephora, said EastChase marketing director Suzanna Wasserman Edwards. “We’ll have gigantic balloon loot by Kreative Moments so you can’t miss us!” she says.
Enter to win a $100 Aerie gift card to the EastChase tent, and the first 100 shoppers will receive a free EastChase bag, she said. “We’re thrilled to offer a limited number of iridescent tote bags to fill while you shop, plus a chance to win one of three $100 gift cards to Aerie,” Edwards said.
Aerie specializes in women’s underwear, clothing, activewear and swimwear with a focus on comfort and body positivity.
The 3,500 square foot Aerie store is located near Sephora and Bath & Body Works.
“Aerie is a lifestyle retailer that offers a variety of loungewear, activewear, sleepwear and accessories,” Edwards said. “Aerie is known for its soft and comfortable fabrics as well as its various sizing options. I especially like their selection of activewear, including tennis skirts. The store design is also unique and very fun.
The opening will create more than 20 jobs and strengthen EastChase’s apparel line, Edwards said.
“Aerie is one of the hottest brands right now and it’s a huge asset to The Shoppes at EastChase,” she said. “Although it’s generally aimed at a younger demographic, middle school to college, there’s still a variety of clothing for all ages.”
Aerie is a sub-brand launched by American Eagle in 2006. Stores in Alabama include Birmingham, Foley and Huntsville. To learn more about Aerie, visit www.aerie.com.
The day after Aerie’s grand opening, The Shoppes will host The Summer Edit, which will feature live music by Michael Gaby.
The August 5 event begins at 5 p.m. near Buffalo’s Café. The first 50 shoppers who arrive and register on social media will receive an EastChase goody bag filled with special offers and merchandise.
Four pop-up vendors will be present, including Ziegler Farms and the Bloom Cart. Several popular EastChase retailers will also be offering discounts. For more information, visit The Summer Edit – The Shoppes at EastChase.
