Fortunoff Backyard Store opens another NJ store

Outdoor furniture and accessories retailer Fortunoff Backyard Store is opening another store in New Jersey.

Fortunoff will open in Bridgewater, occupying the space of a former Pier 1 Imports in the Somerset Shopping Center near the intersection of Route 28, Route 202 and Route 206.

The 9,400 square foot building is scheduled to open Thursday, April 7.

Fortunoff Backyard Store offers a variety of outdoor and patio furniture including benches, sofas, lounge sets and hanging furniture with accessories such as cushions, pillows and umbrellas.

The store also sells fire pits, patio heaters and pool accessories.

This will be the company’s 12th location in the Garden State.

Somerset Shopping Center is also home to popular tenants like Barnes & Noble, Gap, Men’s Wearhouse, Pearle Vision, Rite Aid and TGI Fridays.

“Fortunoff Backyard Store will be opening in Somerset Mall just before the spring shopping season, and we are delighted to have been able to meet their timing needs,” said rental representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty. “The state of the space allowed a turnkey delivery; Fortunoff is planning a complete renovation of the space later in the year.

There are currently 27 Fortunoff Backyard stores in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
