The Mexican chain that offers a 4-pound taco is expanding in New Jersey

Tito’s Burrito’s & Wings recently unveiled its new location.

The Mexican restaurant opened in Tenafly in early summer. It is located at 35 Washington St.

This is the company’s fifth restaurant in New Jersey and second in Bergen County. The others are located in Morristown, Ridgewood, South Orange and Summit.

Tito’s is popular for offering a huge taco called “The Fat Amy”: a crispy 12-inch tortilla shell filled with fried chicken tenders, fries, cheese, lettuce, spicy chipotle sauce, and pice de gallo.

“It’s the taco kitchen sink,” operating partner Michael Caldarella said. “A lot of people buy it themselves and when they get it, they realize you can’t eat it in one place.”

In addition to the popular “Fat Amy” taco, Tito’s offers full-sized hard and soft shell tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, wings, nachos, empanadas and more.

The new Tenafly spot is open 7 days a week, from noon to 8 p.m.
